Something I've been thinking about.... Who is who here? I mean, these are all people who revolve around Andrew in some capacity or other, but just how...
I've figured out that Optiker is the Andrewdaddy. And of course Ms. Keldar is pretty easy to figure out (Hi Angela!) Kent is Kent... But I'm a bit confused as to the rest.
So... I'm Sareth. Hi. I attended college with Andrew back at NNU when it was still NNU. I was one of the folk who helped create the concept of the golden anvil as a group identity in the first place. My claim to fame.
So who is you?
Re: Who's Who?
Hi! Karen is Karen...AndrewMomma so to speak, or as she used to go by online, Optika.
Sareth is Sareth doesn't say much. I think I know who you are, but not sure...maybe James?
Re: Who's Who?
Hi! I'm Corrie . . . Andrew's big sister. Well, older sister, anyway. Andrew is taller than I am. I'm in NY with my hubby and two kids. Blogging has been a great way for us to be in touch with other parts of our family.
Re: Who's Who?
I'm Andrew's brother-in-law, married to his older sister.
Re: Who's Who?
Andrew might be taller, but you should have seen the great karate vs. tai-kwan-do face off!
Re: Who's Who?
Yeah, Sareth is James. I think everyone on here right now is my family/in-laws, or Sareth and Kent.
I invited Sareth's sister, but it looks like she hasn't checked in since the beginning of the year.
I keep intending to extend an invitation to the other people from my old college gaming group. They were participants off and on with the old forum, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. If I can get around to doing that, that'll bring in a few other non-family people around here.
Re: Who's Who?
Oop! Sorry, yes, I'm james. I'm so used to being "Sareth" that I think of myself that way half the time. Shoot, even my mother has been known to call me "Sareth" on occasion.
Anyway, this does help. Thanks all!

Re: Who's Who?
Not to mention you have your own set of blog entries, quite worth reading on the Story Hour "Real Life Adventures" and etc. I really appreciate getting a chance to read about your life and would recommend it as reading for anyone who is not already in touch with one of our soldiers stationed overseas! Thanks
We have met, but meeting a college buddy of your son's "x" number of years ago, doesnot really count as knowing someone, I am sure.
Re: Who's Who?
Sareth actually has his own blog at: http://sareth.livejournal.com/ He posts about every other day or so.
Re: Who's Who?
It's mostly meaningless blather, though. Heh. I rarely get profound. But yes, it's there.
Reminds me, I really should serialize my writings and stuff from all three tours, so I can put it all in one place.

Re: Who's Who?
You didn't lose all that stuff with your harddrive, did you?
Re: Who's Who?
...
I may have.
My tour in Bosnia, I have your website for the public e-mails. I may have lost some personal stuff, but not a whole lot, I don't think. And my third tour, I used my Blog for most of it. So nothing major lost there. However, my first Aghanistan tour... I kept a private journal for that. That may be gone, unless I can find a very old back up hidden away somewhere (I'm not holding my breath.)

Re: Who's Who?
After you do that it will be ready to send to a publisher so that you can sell movie rights to it.
Re: Who's Who?
Heh.
It's not THAT exciting, really.

Re: Who's Who?
Did you ever think that you might be the only one with that opinion? hehe
Re: Who's Who?
Lord knows enough people say otherwise, yeah... LOL.

Re: Who's Who?
Oh - sorry - I am Kent. I look a rather lot like my avatar. Drew and I have been friends since Highschool and He has been my goto GM ever since.
I am famously the one that was rather distressed at my character entering a town and being faced with a situation where flight was desireable, became rather irritated at not having been informed that it was surounded by a wall ...

Re: Who's Who?
Hello, I'm Aldernon...(...and I'm a net'aholic?) I've known Sareth and Kheldar since NNC days. I've never physically met Kent, but have interacted on the previous GoldenAnvil forums in the past. I'm as paranoid as Optiker, I think about using this name for everything (from another thread).
Just recently rediscovered the new Drupal site and that I still have a user...so here I is!

Re: Who's Who?
Hey! You showed up! I kept meaning to send you an invite email, and I kept forgetting to do it, so I'm glad you found your way here. Things have been slow lately because of various vacation things going on lately, but it should pick up again in another few weeks.
