Well, I was intending to post yesterday (I think I'd like to average posting every other day), but unfortunately I got a little bit distracted. I brought gauntman home with me from work yesterday and we played Guild Wars: Factions until a bit after 10:00. Then of course I had to drive him home. By the time I got back, I wasn't exactly feeling up to posting by the time I got home.
It's actually kind of funny, because I'd purchased Guild Wars: Prophecies and Guild Wars: Factions and played both with gauntman, but was never able to really get into playing it on my own. So, I wasn't really going to bother picking up the new Guild Wars: Nightfall, because it didn't look like I'd have much chance to play it with gauntman. I figured I wouldn't get my money's worth out of the game.
Well, then my dad, Optiker, got his hands on a trial key for Nightfall and wanted to try it out. So we installed it over Christmas break, and we played through it a bit. He decided that it wasn't really his thing. Unfortunately, I really liked what I saw, so I started wanting to buy it. Then when I got back home, gauntman mentioned that he'd seen it on sale for $20, and almost picked it up for me. Unfortunately, the sale was no longer available, so after some hemming and hawing, I finally ordered it from Amazon for $35.
Now while I'm waiting for Nightfall to come in, I'm finding myself playing lots of Factions (both with and without gauntman). Go figure. Maybe I should have skipped buying the new one and just started playing the old one more...
