Making use of our new camera
Well, as I think got mentioned, MrsKheldar and I got a new camera. While looking around for good websites to help us get better at photography, I stumbled across a great site that happens to have a forum featuring a weekly assignment. You take a picture that fits the theme for the week and post it in the thread. So, we decided to both participate. It should be fun and good practice as we try to learn to take better pictures.
Here's my shot for this week. The theme is "Still Life". I did do a little bit of editing to brighten the highlights and darken the shadows.

Cool...which web site forum? I used to read several on photography, and recall at least one that had that kind of weekly assignment. Sounds like a fun activity for both of you. I'll look forward to checking out your submissions - either on the forum, or if you post them each week.

Ah...I searched Kheldar and Andrew and didn't find you, but when I searched abatish, only got a hit on MrsKheldar's post - saw hers there before seeing it here since we had Truth Project last night, and I didn't get around to checking the blog till this morning. Don't know why I didn't find you and didn't care to check 30+ pages of posts looking for it.
Sounds like a fun thing to do. I should do something like that to motivate me to do something in my life that is creative, and to keep my hand in and learn my camera better, ie, the features I know it has but don't know how to use and the features it has but I don't know it.
ADDED LATER...I found it on page 28! Don't know why my search on username didn't turn it up. Anyhow, I thought you were using Photoshop...didn't know you were using The GIMP.

My new version of Photoshop hasn't arrived yet. It's because the old version won't install on my new computer that I waited on giving you my old computer.

Yeah...understand, but I guess I assumed you were using PS on the old computer, so was surprised thet you'd used The GIMP.
