Thanks for pointing this out. I don't think they're actually generated by a bot. However, given the website listed for the one user, I deleted him. I'll keep my eye on the other and delete him if there's problems (or perhaps if he doesn't eventually post anything).

Wasn't there a restriction that you lifted a while back about allowing people to become members without having to be approved or something? Or was that just the guest account thing?

I made a change a long while back such that you had to be logged in to post.
The odd thing about these accounts is that the user(s) have never logged in using those accounts. Very strange. I'll give it another couple days then delete them.

The user I'd deleted before came back. So, I deleted that user again and slapped a ban on him. If the other two don't log in within a week, they'll be deleted too.

I wonder if you can create a rule - if a user creates an account but doesn't make any posts within 1 day of creating a user account, they're deleted.

Your test user was deleted.
I upgraded the board to the latest version, and now I'm struggling with getting the style put back in place (grumble).
I also added some extra security to prevent possible hacking attempts.
Actually, the visual recognition thing is a new feature with the new version of the forums. Before I upgraded, I disabled adding new users. Instead, when you tried to submit your new user, it'd give you an "irritated admin error"...
I may put it back in if it looks like I need it.

Ok, I've added a number of new styles that you can pick from. None of them yet have a proper logo. I may get around to fixing that. There are some issues with getting the old style working, so it may take some time before I get that up and running again.
Until then, you might actually find that you like some of these new styles better. I kind of like the Artemis Light myself...

I definitely like the 'Artemis Lite - Blue' profile. I'm using it till something different peaks my interest.
The Xeon one was... distasteful. :|
Red Square was interesting...
Avalanche was ... eh.
The underwater one had nice effects, but I did NOT like the layout.

I almost settled on subMerged myself. I may go back and try it for a while.
I realized that I was running version 2.0.4 of the forum software, and 2.0.13 was available with messages splashed all over the official forums saying "UPGRADE NOW" due to some various hacking problems.
Heh... guess I should pay a little more attention to staying up to date.
