Found out about another Hinton in aviation recently... Don't know if you all have heard about the P-38 lightning that was recovered from out of a glacier in Greenland and then fully restored. The pilot who normally flies it is named Hinton.

And cool P-38 link. interesting story. You ever see that show "History Detectives"? that's what it kinda reminds me of. That's where I heard about Walter Hinton.
