Our neighborhood was one of the first or second areas in our city where it was actually installed. Unfortunately, they only activate the network in large batches, so we have to wait another month before getting signed up.
However, at that point we'll be switching our internet over and dropping our regular phone line and going with VoIP.
All told, our phone/internet bill should be about the same (possibly no more than $5-$10 a month more (hard to tell, since right now we do long distance via phone cards, and we don't track those real well)). It'll be a pretty sweet deal.
Residential Fiber
Have I considered it? Heh.

Can't wait.
Residential Fiber
Sweet! So, what kind of bandwidth are they going to let you have?

Residential Fiber
15 megabits per second up and down. That like 10 times my current download rate and 20 times my current upload rate.
Woo!
Residential Fiber
Oh man... that'd be incredible.
... sigh.
