Well, welcome everyone to the brand new Batishko web site. Most everything should be up and running properly, but please feel free to contact me if there are problems with anything. Well, mostly I wanted to provide a place for my family to be able to blog so that we could use it to keep in touch with each other. My last attempt at that used WordPress, which was great for blogging, but wasn't well set up to handle the permissions setup that I wanted.
Then I discovered drupal (which is what this site is using). I discovered that it could integrate forums and all the rest, so I decided to lump it all together so that people only had to deal with a single login, and I only had to deal with administering a single website.
There's still a few quirks here and there (for instance, I'm not fond of the way it automatically creates a title for you on comments), but general I'm very pleased with the results.
