The time has come at last for our civilization to rise again! It has been 225 long years since The Symmetric Quake has had a place to call home. 225 long years since the elves from The Wispy Nut and The Clam of Holes drove my ancestors out of their home far to the south. Since that time our people have taken refuge with the dwarves living at Straplashed.
My friends and I can no longer call Straplashed home. Over four times as many humans now live there as dwarves. We feel like outcasts in our own mountain halls.
The time has come for The Symmetric Quake to rise again. The seven of us set out with high hopes. A prospector sold us a map to what he promised was a good location. It is relatively isolated, though we did have to travel through some elven lands to reach it.
We will arrive at the new site in early spring. There will be a lot of work to be done, but I'm sure we are up to the task.

For those of you who aren't familiar with some of the terms in the title, let me give a brief explanation.
AAR - After Action Report - In gaming terms, this is when someone writes up a detailed report covering the events of a particular game. You can actually find quite a lot of these around the internet. Some are extremely well written. Some are presented in a highly fictionalized fashion. Some are pretty focused on the specifics of the gameplay. Some are intended as tutorials. Most are fairly long, as they are usually written about games that take longer to play, and most cover the game in detail. In many cases, an AAR can be interesting to read even if you've never played the game before. AARs are frequently decorated with screenshots taken while playing the game.
